About the Founder
Kristen Marie
Educator & Mentor
Lead Licensed Esthetician at KM&Co.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I moved to Orange County to attend the University of California Irvine. I graduated with a BA in Public Health Policy hoping to pursue something in the field. However, around January 2016 is when a chord struck in me. Although I had a great corporate job and coworkers, I was becoming stagnant and comfortable. I slowly started to explore the beauty industry. I took makeup courses at the local beauty college and began to do makeup on friends and at small gigs. Practice started to make perfect. A year later, I enrolled in the Esthetician program at Advance Beauty College. I quickly discovered how much I love helping people to understand their skin, feel relaxed, and ultimately, leave a better version of themselves.
I’m happy to say I’ve relocated back to the Bay Area permanently. I am a mother to a beautiful son and it’s been great being near family again. I’m blessed to say I took a leap of faith in August 1st, 2020 and I opened my first location for KM&Co. to have a space to take clients and film videos for my Youtube Channel. The motivation to provide for my family and give my clients quality services is at an all time high. I’m excited to offer you my services and solidify a professional presence in the Bay Area. I love what I do and hope you choose me and my team to be your one-stop-shop!

Kristen (yes, we have TWO Kristen’s in the house now!) joined our team in March 2022! Kristen attended Skyline Beauty College and got her Esthetician license in 2021. It was funny how she crossed my path. Her auntie had come in for services and shared about her niece being in Esthetician school, her love for the esthetics industry, and that one day we should meet. Fast forward, I had put out an ad for hire, and I was thrilled to see Kristen’s application. This is Kristen’s first job doing facials but has a lot of previous experience performing body waxing. We are excited to have her here learning skincare services and being our Body & Waxing Specialist. She’s a few 9 months into her apprenticeship working directly with Kristen Marie and is killing it it! Book with her for a Signature Classic Facial NOW.
Our Location
We are a growing small business located in Downtown San Mateo, California. Here in our 2 office single suites we offer an array of skin, body, and waxing services and plan to expand even more! Everything from the set up, service, and check out is managed by our Estheticians. Please be aware we do not own this entire office suite nor is this a spa. But we dream and have goals of having that location in the near future!
This is also home to our Esthetics Continuing Education Training Program through the Radiance Academy. Kristen Marie has hosted licensed esthetician’s from all over California and we had our very first out of state student from Alaska recently. Our goal this year is to host an international student. But welcome all students from any country and state to apply!
